Partner Agencies

The St. Louis Area Foodbank partners with community feeding programs in Missouri and Illinois who put the food we distribute into the hands of the people who need it most.

We provide these agencies with a stable, reliable source of nutritious food that supplements what they get from other sources. Many of our agencies are small nonprofits run solely by volunteers. We help them bridge the gap between community need and their limited resources.

With monetary donations, we buy and transport truckloads of produce from all across the country so that our partners can have the freshest food available.

Food safety is important to us.

We make regular visits to our partner agencies to make sure they are storing food safely and giving it out to those who need it most.

Other Foodbank Partnerships

TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) Partner Agencies

We work in association with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in both Missouri and Illinois.

The USDA buys the food, including processing and packaging, and ships it to our warehouse for us to deliver to our local partner agencies.

These agencies are contracted to distribute food to eligible clients in compliance with all TEFAP and St. Louis Area Foodbank guidelines.

Donated Partner Agencies

A donated partner agency receives non-USDA product from the Foodbank to supplement the food on their shelves.

Donation-only agencies, in both Missouri and Illinois, agree to comply with all St. Louis Area Foodbank guidelines.

Our service area is vast, and hundreds of partners are necessary to meet the needs of our community. We provide these agencies with a stable, reliable source of nutritious food that supplements what they get from other sources. Many of our agencies are small nonprofits run solely by volunteers.

We help them bridge the gap between community need and their limited resources.
