We knew St. Louisans were some hard-core country music fans.

But now we know those country fans are a dedicated and generous bunch!

This summer, the St. Louis Area Foodbank partnered with Live Nation St. Louis and Verizon Wireless Amphitheater to host the Sevens Are Wild food and funds drive.

The Foodbank was there outside the gates chatting with fans as they lined up at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater to see these acts this summer:

• Brad Paisley
• Miranda Lambert
• Lady Antebellum
• Rascal Flatts
• Zac Brown Band
• Toby Keith (food drive cancelled due to weather)
• Jason Aldean

At the concerts, fans did much more than just enjoy some rocking music.

They also donated a total of $2,495 and 354 pounds of food to the St. Louis Area Foodbank!

For every donation, fans were entered into a raffle for some amazing prizes. Over the summer, lucky fans got to meet Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and hang out with Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown!

Last weekend, one very excited fan won a ticket upgrade to the Jason Aldean concert! She was so happy she cried!

Fans who donated to the Foodbank also cast their votes for their favorite St. Louis country music radio station. All summer, it was neck and neck between 93.7 The Bull and WIL 92.3.

After counting the votes from the final event at the Jason Aldean concert, the Bull came out at the winner with 287 votes. But WIL was close behind with 247!

Thanks to the generous support from country music radio and country fans, the St. Louis Area Foodbank will be able to provide 9,610 meals to families in need in the bi-state region.

We offer a huge thank you to the fans, WIL 92, The Bull, Live Nation St. Louis and Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for your support.

And we can’t forget those amazing country artists who provided prizes for donors!

Check out some great photos of St. Louis country fans at the concerts!
