Farming Partners
Local farmers enable us to provide fresh food to our food outlets in a timely matter.
Farming Partners consist of both small, local, and family-owned farms as well as larger regional farming operations and everything in between. These partners function as an essential source of nutritious fruits and vegetables for our distribution events as well as the partners and pantries we serve in Missouri and Illinois.
Working with these operations as well as local and state government helps ensure that farmers have outlets for the food they produce as well as decreasing their spoilage. In particular, farms often donate “seconds” – these are perfectly delicious and nutritious fruits and veggies that simply aren’t attractive enough to display on a grocery shelf.
