Transitional Housing Food Program
The St. Louis Area Foodbank works with local shelters, treatment centers, and other social service agencies to help make the transition from a shelter to a home easier by providing families with a month’s food supply and household items.

When low-income St. Louis-area families move from temporary housing to a home of their own, we supply them with 250 to 300 pounds of food and household items to help them get a fresh start. This allows these families to save their limited resources for other obligations with moving into a new home or apartment, such as security deposits, appliances or utilities.
For information about this program, interested parties should contact their caseworker.
