Ways to Give Back for the Government Shutdown

UPDATE AS OF JANUARY 25, 2019:  Rest assured, the St. Louis Area Foodbank will continue to meet the needs of federal employees and contractors affected by the government shutdown. We are here to ensure that children, families and seniors receive the assistance they need during this recovery phase.

#ShutDownHungerSTL

Thank you for your interests to help feed families affected by the government shutdown.  Your donation will be used to support furloughed government employees, their families and our most vulnerable populations at risk of hunger.

What is the St. Louis Area Foodbank doing to help?

The St. Louis Area Foodbank is seeing increased requests for food assistance due to the longest government shutdown in history. We are actively responding to unpaid federal workers requesting assistance in a variety of ways. Right now, we are providing boxes of shelf-stable food, fresh produce and meat via special direct distributions at the Foodbank and in the community to help alleviate immediate food needs.

We will support the affected families with continuing food needs until they are no longer in need of food assistance.

HOW CAN YOU HELP NOURISH THOSE AFFECTED?

Donations made in connection with #ShutDownHungerSTL will be used to support families affected by the government shutdown and our most vulnerable populations at risk of hunger.
