Meet Trish, our Volunteer Center Manager

Earlier this month, Trish Jenner started her position as Volunteer Center Manager.

Trish worked in our Volunteer Center from 2010-2013 before she transitioned into a warehouse role. After working in the Warehouse for a little more than 5 years, she was excited for the opportunity to return to work with the volunteers. We’re lucky to have such an energetic and compassionate person working with our most valuable asset – our volunteers!

We asked Trish a few questions to get to know her a little better:

  1. What is your favorite project to do in the Volunteer Center?

I enjoy packing Food Drive as it really shows the heart and support of our community and what our mission is all about. If you asked our volunteers, I’m pretty sure they would say the CSFP as I think it feels like a competition to them working on an assembly line.

  1. What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy riding my motorcycle when weather permits and I do a lot of charity work within the biker community. I have 2 charities that I started: “Emily’s Wings of Warmth” and “Bikers for Backpacks”.

  1. If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

I would like to be able to have “HAPPY” as a superpower. I could cast a spell on unhappy, negative people and bring happiness into their lives.

  1. What makes you most excited to be back and working in the VC?

I really missed all the volunteers, especially the kids. I believe it’s so important to teach young people how to help others and be humble.

  1. What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned while working at the Foodbank?

To appreciate what I have in life, as so many have it so rough, and to help others and educate them on our fight against hunger. To stay humble.

  1. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love a week in a bungalow in Bora Bora…a girl can dream.

  1. If you could only choose one band’s music to play in the VC, whose would it be?

That’s a hard one as I love all music, but if I had to choose it would be Al Green – he is my feel good, happy place music. Motown is great for the soul!

Join us in welcoming Trish back to the Volunteer Center! If you haven’t had the opportunity to work with Trish, sign up for a shift that works best for you on our website!
