You can make a difference in your community!
Area families and seniors depend on the food that our volunteers sort, box and repackage in our Volunteer Center.
Whether you’re volunteering as an individual or as part of a group, spending a few hours at the Foodbank makes for a great field trip or team-building experience.
Our Volunteer Center bustles with activity five days a week and the results are real.
Last year, volunteers packaged 5.6 million pounds of food.

Court Appointed Volunteers:
Sorry, We do not accept court appointed volunteers.
Beginning in February, the Foodbank will begin a construction project to add a second level to our building. This will result in a few changes for our volunteers.
Once demolition/construction begins, we will move the volunteer break area into the volunteer center itself. Due to food safety regulations, we cannot allow food or drink to be brought in. We will provide bottled water for anyone that would like it.
The restrooms in the volunteer center breakroom will be closed as well. Volunteers needing to use the restroom while on-site may use the restrooms located in the office portion of our building.
Finally, we have also removed the vending machines from our volunteer breakroom.
If you are coordinating the volunteer session for your organization/group, please make sure the rest of your group is aware of these circumstances.
Once completed, this new space will be used for conferences and Foodbank events, team building for corporate volunteer groups, nutrition education, food safety training, and as a space to further engage community leaders in the fight against hunger.
We’re only able to do what we do with the help from volunteers like you! We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your continued support.
Many companies offer volunteer hour “matching” programs encouraging employees to support a charitable organization. Most of these programs match your time hour for hour with a monetary donation!
Please check with your company to see if it offers a volunteer hour match program or use the search box to look up companies that typically match volunteer hours.
