BADENFEST SENIOR CENTER

Where they are: Badenfest Senior Center is located in the Baden area North St. Louis City at 8122 N. Broadway.

Who they serve: Badenfest Senior Center serves seniors in the 63147 zip code, which includes the communities of Baden, North Point and Riverview.  These neighborhoods have diverse income levels, but are trending toward an increasing number of low-income seniors, which are the focus for the Center.  The Center service to 71 seniors and averages 10 to 20 people daily for meals on site.

What they do: The Center provides a variety of services for senior citizens, including: meals on-site at the center; monthly commodity food boxes; limited transportation to nearby grocery stores, pharmacies, and physicians; home health assessments; on-site exercise classes and health monitoring; recreational activities; and property tax assistance through the Circuit Breakers program.

What they get from the Foodbank: Badenfest Senior Center obtains monthly food boxes for 41 senior citizens from the St. Louis Area Foodbank, as part of the Commodity Supplemental Program (CSFP), which are very important to the people they serve.  They also obtain commodity cheese (2 lbs. each).
