VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

Miller Brewing Company Lends a Hand

This year, the corporate offices of Miller Brewing Company extended an invitation to their local market offices to participate in the Miller Cares Day on January 18.

During Miller Cares Day, hundreds of Philip Morris (Kraft & Miller) employees across the U.S. participate in a volunteer effort honoring Dr. Martin Luther King’s life-long commitment to community service.

Last year, more than 2,000 employees throughout Philip Morris Companies volunteered and 450 of them came from Miller Brewing Company.

This year, the St. Louis Area Foodbank was pleased to be selected as a local Miller Brewing community service site. Ten volunteers from the St. Louis Heartland Office worked for several hours at the St. Louis Area Foodbank Repackaging Center processing 8,704 pounds of food, which feeds 2,901 people for one day. The company also held a food drive at their offices.

These volunteers are a great example of how just a few hours of time can have a significant community impact.

If you or your organization would like to volunteer at the Repackaging Center, please contact: Brett Moeller at 314/423-6100.
