Telephone Pioneers Delivered a Donation to the St. Louis Area
Foodbank |
ST. LOUIS (November
17, 2004) – The Durant Life Member
Council of the SBC Pioneers presented a check in the amount of $500
to the St. Louis Area Foodbank for program support.
The SBC Pioneers -
made up of retirees of SBC and of the former Southwestern Bell
Telephone Company functions primarily to help those less fortunate
by donating time, and/or money. The time is donated through
volunteer hours put in by members at various organizations and the
monetary gifts are made possible through successful fund-raisers.
The St. Louis Area
Foodbank thanks the Durant Life Member Council of the SBC Pioneers
for their gift. The donation will help provide much-needed
food to the local families we serve.
