On behalf of the
Board and Staff of the St. Louis Area Foodbank, we wanted to take a moment to thank you
for helping those in dire need. The events of September 11th have forever altered our
lives on both a local and national basis.
But, you should know that your support of the Foodbank helped those in NY and DC.
As the tragic news unfolded, the St. Louis Area Foodbank - along with 200 other America's Second Harvest
affiliates nationwide - began assembling product for those impacted in New York City and
Washington, D.C. The entire group-wide relief effort was able to quickly deliver more than
120 truckloads of much-needed food and water. Just as America came to our aid during the
Great Flood of '93, St. Louis and the rest of our great country came to America's aid
during its time in need.
Your support allowed us to do our part. The difference we made was real, and the support
you give was shared with those needing it most. Thank you for supporting your St. Louis
Area Foodbank and thank you for allowing us the opportunity to help. We're very proud of
you and hope you are of us.
