ST. LOUIS AREA FOODBANK RECEIVES $5,000 FROM THE END HUNGER NETWORK AND VALLEY MEDIA
ST. LOUIS, MO --
March 31, 2000 -- The St. Louis Area Foodbank recently received a donation in the amount
of $5,000 from
Valley Media, Inc. -- the
nation's largest distributor of music, video, DVD, and games and
The End Hunger Network -- an
organization led by actor Jeff Bridges. The End Hunger Network is a Los
Angeles-based nonprofit agency founded in 1983 by Jeff Bridges, works with the
entertainment community to create media projects, programs and events aimed at ending
hunger. Through cooperative efforts with media executives, celebrities,
corporations, community and service groups, the End Hunger Network seeks to motivate
citizens to participate in the growing movement to end hunger.
The funds will be used to
help run the Foodbank's many programs used to feed hungry families throughout its 26 county
service territory.
