ST. LOUIS, MO -- May 4, 2000 -- Since 1991, the St. Louis Area Foodbank has benefited from the generosity of The Pampered Chef, a national retailer of fine food preparation products through "in-home" Kitchen Shows. Each year, The Pampered Chef includes a special cookie mold in its catalog whose proceeds benefit food banks across the country. Sales representatives for the company also encourage customers to "round out" their purchases. For example, if purchases add up to $14.50, the customer can round it to $15 with the extra 50 cents benefiting a local food bank.
In the St. Louis area, any proceeds generated from the cookie mold sales or "rounding out" benefits the St. Louis Area Foodbank. Last year, the Foodbank received donations totaling $11,600 from our area Pampered Chef Food Bank Coordinator. This year we already have received more than $10,000, with additional donations anticipated later in the year. If you enjoy cooking, you may want to consider holding a Pampered Chef Kitchen Show in your home. It's fun and you might raise some funds for the Foodbank in the process!
