Friends of the Foodbank
Join the St. Louis Area Foodbank’s new group – Friends of the Foodbank.
It’s a great way to volunteer your time in small increments to a very worthy cause.
You won’t spend tedious hours sitting in committee meetings. Instead, you’ll attend networking events and be trained to help distribute hunger awareness information at fun external events such as concerts, foodie events and happy hours. You’ll be a face and a voice for the Foodbank at events around town.
Our Next Event:
Join the Friends of the Foodbank for a networking happy hour!
Thursday, October 9th
6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
$5 donation to the St. Louis Area Foodbank
Every four years a national study is conducted that collects data on hunger from those struggling to put food on their tables. We are thrilled to have study coordinators from Feeding America, along with representatives from the Foodbank and local food pantries in attendance. They will share their insights and personal stories on this deeply-rooted issue in our region.
Please join the Friends of the Foodbank at the Biergarten at Anheuser-Busch for an engaging and informative discussion on the recent Hunger in America 2014 study.
Registered friends will receive two free drink tickets and food will be available for purchase.
