The St. Louis Area Foodbank - the local affiliate of America’s Second Harvest, along with Steak n Shake and MasterCard International are partnering to help feed the hungry this holiday season.

For every $5 in gift card purchase made locally from Nov. 8 through Dec. 31, 2004, Steak n Shake will donate one STEAKBURGER™ patty to the St. Louis Area Foodbank. This is the second year Steak n Shake has partnered with the St. Louis Area Foodbank. Last year, more than 173,000 STEAKBURGER™ patties were donated to 78 food banks across the country - with more than 19,000 going to Missouri.

"On behalf of the thousands we serve, I want to thank Steak n Shake for once again proving their commitment to help hunger relief in our community," stated Frank Finnegan, St. Louis Area Foodbank executive director.

To participate, simply stop by any St. Louis area Steak n Shake and purchase a gift card anytime between Nov. 8 and Dec. 31, 2004.
